This small Trident maple is about 12 years old.
I transplant the tree in a bonsai pot that will promote lateral root growth instead of downwards growing roots. It is stunning that a simple change of pot, from a training pot to a ceramics, transforms the tree and drastically improves its quality.
Mix: Chabasai/Akadama 50/50 plus biochar.
