I collected those two Mountain Maples this spring in the forest.

Mountain Maple 1

Montain Maple 2 - Hallucigenia

This tree has a natural raft style. The challenge will be to develop the multiple trunks and compact the root base. A custom wooden box is built to accomodate the atypical root mass.

Hallucigenia

The second tree reminds me of Hallucigenia, a strange Cambrian worm with legs and dorsal spikes, discovered in the Burgess Schale deposits in BC.

June

Both trees budded profusely and they will now be left free this summer to regain energy and grow roots.
